A social enterprise that aspires to champion sustainable living. With the aim to raise awareness and to find creative solutions for the global waste problem, they upcycle wastes like discarded PVC advertising banners, diesel oil drums, pallet wood and rejected seatbelts while creating collaborative production in furniture making, green technology, electronics engineering and provide art installations that go beyond a typical brush and canvas.

What can you do?

  • Purchase or help to sell upcycled bags from their Bags Collection.
  • Commission them to build furniture for you.
  • Build your own furniture at one of their Open Workshops, that are readily equipped with tools and machinery.
  • Participate in their list of Workshop Modules that range from arts & craft to ecological gardening.
  • Reduce your home and office storage hoarding by contributing wastes to them, so they can be upcycled.

The Silent Teddies Bakery

The Silent Teddies Bakery

Who are they?

A social enterprise that was started by The Community Service Center for the Deaf (CSCD) to equip Deaf youths with an opportunity to run their own enterprise that will enable them to be self-reliant entrepreneurs. Silent Teddies Bakery, is the only bakery in KL entirely staffed by the deaf. Not long ago, AirAsia Foundation promoted their cookies onboard as well. All efforts in selling their goods are done to support the CSCD programmes and it’s school for Deaf children.

What can you do?

  • Purchase freshly made delectable cookies and bread without added preservatives from the bakery.
  • Provide a helping hand to the students to bake and package the cookies.
  • Donate funds for baking equipments, etc.

SOLS Tech

Who are they?

A social enterprise with the goal of making technology accessible to everyone, especially for underserved communities in Malaysia. They are the technology arm of SOLS 24/7 Malaysia. SOLS Tech is a Microsoft Registered Refurbisher with a passion for protecting the environment and reusing technology. As a licenced refurbisher, they guarantee that the donated computers are refurbished to the highest standard possible, data wiped and equipped with original software.

What can you do?

  • Donate your unwanted digital devices to them. No matter the condition, SOLS Tech will fix and donate the devices to those who need it more.
  • Get computers or nominate a community/NGO to receive them.
  • For an average RM250 worth of cash donation, you can fund the collection, refurbishment and delivery for a whole computer set for a specific disadvantaged community.

They deliver and cater authentic traditional meals from different cultures prepared by refugee families from various countries to companies, events and organisations.
