    Hong Leong Group SMARTAN Challenge 2019

    The ‘Hong Leong Group SMARTAN Challenge 2019’, is a Group Unified CSR Initiative held on 9th November at DC Mall. 14 teams from various operating companies came together to participate in the SMARTAN challenges and successfully raised funds for We Care Journey (an organisation focused on people living with Spinal Muscular Atrophy(SMA) by providing treatment support, conducting awareness programme and advocating inclusion with stakeholders in the best interest of people living with SMA). It is a fundraising event and the Challenge will have a team or more from each Operating Companies coming together to support We Care Journey. WCJ’s focuses on creating awareness about Spinal Muscular Atrophy (SMA), a neuromuscular disease that takes away the ability to move, walk, eat or breathe without assistance.

    • Finds Raised by OCs : RM 21,000.
    • Funds topped up by HLF: RM 15,000
    • Total contribution to We Care Journey : RM36,000

    Futsal Tournament 2014

    On 6th December 2014, Hong Leong Group hosted its first ever Futsal Tournament involving eight operating companies and ten children’s homes.  Each participating companies adopted at least one home and trained a team of 11 under-14 futsal players.

    Van Donation

    Persatuan Kebajikan Komuniti in Taiping, Perak serves as a work centre for people with physical disability (30 adults) and a learning centre that provides free tuition classes for 30 underpriviliged children.. Hong Leong Foundation purchased a van to help transport the children to their Learning Centre for the free tuition and other classes during weekdays and any other activities during the weekends. Additionally, it is used to transport the physically disabled individual to travel back and forth from home to the work centre daily.
